Head coach 马特Roventini ’92, P ’21, ’25 has led the 保利预科 棒球 program to national prominence. Since taking over the program in 2004, 在他的领导下, the 聚 棒球 program has accumulated 14 consecutive Ivy Prep League titles, 11 NYSAIS championships in 15 years (2023), and one undefeated season (2007). Roventini has had more than 50 players go on to play collegiate baseball, with seven being selected in the MLB draft since 2010, 包括J.J. Franco ’10, son of longtime New York Mets pitcher John Franco. Along with former team captain and current assistant Matt Durando ’96, P’30, Roventini’s program plays against top regional competition and in national tournaments each season.

A graduate of the Class of ’92, Matt was a 3 sport athlete at 聚 playing football, basketball and was captain of the baseball team his senior year. 洛克威海滩, NY native played both baseball and football at Hamilton College, and began his coaching career with the South Shore High School football team before taking over the 聚 baseball program in 2004. 从那时起, Roventini has led the Blue Devils to 14 consecutive Ivy Prep League titles and 10 NYSAIS championships, the wins fueled by lineups that have produced 50 college players and seven Major League 棒球 draft picks. Roventini has been honored as the 2017 American 棒球教练 Association Division 2 Coach of the Year and the 2009 New York State 体育writers High School Coach of the Year, though he says he’s “more proud of the relationships I’ve built over the years” at 聚. 远离学校, he is co-owner of the Premier 棒球 Performance Center of New York and the New York Phenoms college summer team (ACBL), and counts cooking and carpentry among his hobbies. Matt is the parent of two 保利预科 students.
